Body-Cam Application
Start:
Main Objective:
stronger protection of staff against assaults and de-escalation of dangerous situations for workers as well as for passengers
Application:
in buses and trains as well as in the area directly surrounding bus and train stops (future introduction during ticket inspection)
Feedback:
The de-escalating effect of the large touch display plays an important role in the everyday work of the security forces. Operations Manager Michael Irsch commented, “We have had the experience in a pilot test that the cameras have a preventive deterrent effect.” Additionally, he noted, “Even the announcement provides a deterrent to any aggressive passengers.”
Furthermore, the informative exchange with NetCo has significantly simplified the GDPR-compliant establishment of the body cams.
