Main Objective:
The main objective of the introduction of bodycams is to increase the safety of the employees of the Municipal Public Order Service and at the same time to enable the preservation of evidence during operations. This is intended to contribute to the de-escalation of conflicts.
Application Area:
The bodycams are mainly used in the operation of the Municipal Public Order Service to ensure security, safety and collect evidence of any incidents.
Feedback:
The police in Hamm have already had positive experiences with bodycams, which have helped to defuse situations and document acts of violence. The bodycams have become an integral part of the police equipment. The Municipal Public Order Service also expects positive effects from the use of bodycams. The test phase will serve to examine the effectiveness and practicability of the various models before a final decision is made on their use.
