A body-Cam with front display shows what is being filmed during the recording. This way, everyone involved can follow what the Body-Cam is recording. Troublemakers can be deterred by this "mirror function" (as they see themselves in the body cam's screen). This de-escalation effect ensures that the situation, which is usually dangerous for the security staff, relaxes.
Body cam recordings can be saved up to two minutes before the start of each recording. In the event of sudden conflict situations, valuable material is saved before the actual start of recording.
The battery life always depends on the body cam configuration and intensity of use. In any case, the battery of our body cam will accompany you for a whole shift - you don't have to worry that the body cam is not ready for use when you need it because the battery
We recommend placing the body cam directly in the SmartHub after each shift.
Body cam recordings are subject to strict data protection regulations and should be protected from access by third parties in order to prevent the dissemination or alteration of the material. If you wish, we will be happy to send you our Body-Cam guide. In it you can find important information on the topic of "Data protection compliant use of the Body-Cam".
Before body cams are used in your company, it is important to deal with the data protection regulations. The correct use of the body cam is important: Before starting a recording, the other person must be informed about the activation of the body cam (transparency requirement). The recording of images and sound by means of a body camera interferes with the personal rights of those concerned and therefore requires justification. Recording may only take place if a person shows aggressive behaviour (physical attacks or threats) or if a situation threatens to escalate immediately. In addition, uninvolved third parties may not be recorded. In addition, there are fixed deletion periods for the body-cam material. We will be happy to discuss all of this with you again before you use your body cam.
If the body-cam recording was made under conditions that are correct in terms of data protection law, the possibility of having it used in court is increased. However, each federal state has its own regulations on how to deal with body-cam material in court.
As with security companies, the same applies to private individuals: A Body-Cam may be worn in public places. However, "permanent" filming is not permitted. Likewise, the unauthorised and unannounced recording of persons without their consent is not legally permissible.
If the Body-Cam films third parties without their consent, each of the filmed persons can issue a warning to the Body -Cam wearer and demand a cease-and-desist declaration. If the warning is issued by a lawyer, the Body-Cam wearer must also pay the lawyer's fees.
The "mere" wearing of a Body-Cam, on the other hand, is permissible (unless the householder specifies otherwise).
Should the footage be made public, the persons filmed must be made unrecognisable or give their consent.
